K4J is in need of Adult Volunteers to attend our Children's monthly meeting. Adult Volunteers help ensure our program runs smoothly & safely.
If you are interested in helping in any way, big or small, please contact Cheyanna Borrowman for more information.
Note: Our K4J 2017-2018 season has officially come to a close. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our volunteers who helped make this year possible. Check back in the fall for updates on the K4J program and have a great summer!
Adult Volunteers - Roles
Lead Activities: Adults are involved as station leaders. Their role is to help guide children through the activity and explain the connection to the monthly virtue theme.
Behaviour Management: Adults are required in this program to ensure a safe environment for all children. They help to ensure children are focused and are behaving appropriately. When needed, adults aid with reminding children of K4J rules and directing their focus back to the activity.
Program Preparation: Adult volunteers are welcomed into the K4J planning process. They are invited to attend a Pre-K4J planning meeting held during the week prior to K4J. During this meeting, adult volunteers go over the scheduled plan for the monthly K4J night and help with any outstanding preparations needed.
All Adult Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer package and attend Called to Protect Workshop. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Cheyanna Borrowman for more information regarding requirements.
